My Little Princess....

My good friend, Jen, sent Shayna a present in the mail the other day. You would think that Shayna would be totally stoked about the awesome fish backpack the nice mailman delivered -well, she was stoked about the fish backpack because she filled it with the styrofoam peanuts it was packed with - and then she emptied it onto my freshly vacuumed carpet. What an angel....

I know that I said I wasn't going to ruin the surprise, but I just had to post my little princess in her flower girl dress!

Mark took these shots & I had to show them off!

Awwwwww....

I rec'd an email from my little brother, Josh... Here it is ( I hope he doesn't mind!):
"Hello everyone here we are getting our marriage license. Its official we are now licensed fiances."
How cute is that?? My brother and Mindy, his "official" fiancee', are getting married on Saturday. Shayna is one of the Flower Girls. I was going to post a picture of Shayna in her dress, but I didn't want to spoil the surprise... plus, without a nap today, she did not want anything to do with trying it on. Please pray that she naps Saturday!!!!!

Too Much Fun!

My parents came over on Monday afternoon to see Shayna. They could not have come at the more perfect time... Shayna would not go down for her nap & not more than 5 minutes later, Grandma & Papa show up to play... Yeah! Shayna loves to play with her grandparents. It's so much fun to watch my parents play with her because I get to see how they played with me when I was her age. I couldn't tell who was having more fun!

Here is a cute shot of Shayna dressed in her "Noodles From Scratch," apron and chef's hat! I really do think that I made a great decision to join the Do-Re-Me & You! family. These products are wonderful and I know that first hand - Shayna loves the music, books, puzzles, and not to mention her apron & chef's hat! I have my first show lined up this week and I am not nervous at all because these products are something that I know children (& their parents) love!

Nothing New...

Nothing really new to write about... I just wanted an excuse to post this cute picture of Shayna... She is wearing an outfit that her Grammie Lynn bought her before she was even born!
The potty training is still going very well. Shayna just started taking naps without pull-ups! She did very well for about a week, then on Friday she took an unexpected 3 hour nap and of course, wet the bed. Mark said she was very disappointed with herself. But he assured her that it was alright and we didn't have any accidents today. Shayna still wears a diaper for night time - but we're working on that, too.

Valentine's Day!

My husband is AWESOME! While I was at home today giving Shayna her lunch, consisting of her favorite - Tofu & Noodles, my wonderful husband was secretly placing flowers & a Valentine's Day card on my desk back at the office! The flowers are my favorite... pink roses (2 of them to be exact). I am so lucky to be married to my best friend and the most wonderful man in the world! I love you, Mark!

Back from Nevada

Shayna and I had an uneventful trip to Las Vegas yesterday. Our plane was filled to capacity on the way over, which meant that Shayna had to sit on my lap for 45 minutes. No biggie, right? Shayna decided it was time to go "pee pee on the toilet" during the handing out of the refreshments. I stalled her until the flight attendant whisked off to get more drinks, so we made a bee-line to the "Lavatory." Shayna was so excited to go, "pee pee" on the airplane, that she didn't want to leave the cramped space of the nasty, wet floored, "airplane toilet." Yuck! I can't stand those tiny little, dirty, wet, "lavatories."
Here's a cute picture of Annie, Samantha (the birthday girl), & Shayna.

We had a blast spending our time with family. It was great to see everyone! Happy Birthday, Pinkie!
On our trip back to L.A., our flight was delayed 30minutes, which wasn't too bad. It gave me just enough time to get Shayna in and out of the bathroom. I guess they're not called lavatories until you are actually on the plane.... Anyhoo, Shayna got to sit in her own seat, which made it less stressful for everyone! I think that she forgot how much fun it was going pee pee on the airplane earlier in the day, because she waited until we arrived at our final destination.... the car!

Leavin' on a Jet Plane....

Tomorrow, I will be flying to Las Vegas with Shayna, for my niece's 3rd birthday party. We will be leaving quite early and getting back late. I'm usually not nervous about flying, but my good friend, Jenna, has made me stop to think that... well, I don't even want to talk about! It'll be fun... and Shayna is really excited about going for a ride on an airplane. I'm bringing along our camera to keep Shayna and myself busy!

Bubbles... Bubbles...Everywhere...

Well, our vintage 2001 E-Machine computer finally died the other night. The funeral was this morning - thank you all for your deepest sympathy.
After the service, it was time for the ancient Jewish tradition of taking a bubble bath! I'm only kidding about about the ancient Jewish tradition thing...
Shayna just loves taking a bubble bath, and why not? There is just so much to do in a bubble bath! For instance, you can strategically place bubbles in your own hair or place them in your mother's hair. What fun!

I just have to admit that I am sooooo loving every minute of being a parent!

Oh and BTW, I would like to welcome our new baby, HP Pavilion. It was born today at 2:00 pm and has 2048 MB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, and Windows Vista... we're such proud parents! Welcome to the family, "HP."

36 Years and 2 Days Old...

Celebrated my 36th birthday on Superbowl Sunday. My friend, Lori, her husband Jose, and their little guy, Jackson, came by... as well as my friend, Lisa, her husband, Mike, and their 2 year old twins, Mason & Camille. We had lots of fun watching the 4 kids playing (fighting over) with all of Shayna's toys. My little angel (see picture to the right) could not understand why all of these kids wanted to play with her toys. The word of the day was, "Share." It was a wonderful birthday!

I don't really feel that old... but after typing my birth date into Google Images - and finding this picture... I feel ancient. Check out the groovy pattern on that fancy piece of equipment! LOL!
